Theatre
Gilberto Vega is a Dramaturg, Director, Playwright, and Teaching Artist. He is most fulfilled by work that celebrates Latinidad, amplifies queer liberation, and interrogates pre-existing works through innovative, new perspectives.
Writing
Gilberto Vega has contributed to and been featured in multiple publications across the Philadelphia area, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, Motivos Magazine, and Revarte.
Comedy
Gilberto Vega is taking the stand-up world by storm and has performed across Philadelphia, Norristown, and—most recently—New Jersey. As a queer Pennsylrican and the son of a Costa Rican immigrant, Gilberto’s stand-up satirizes the collision between Latinidad, machismo, late-stage capitalism, and queerness, which means he’ll probably bring up Bad Bunny.
